Retail Technology Show 2022: SML to Showcase Game-Changing Technology Solutions and Explore the Sudden Boom in RFID Adoption

Date: 26th – 27th April 2022

Venue: Olympia, London

Stand: 6E30

SML is thrilled to announce it will be returning to London for the  Retail Technology Show 2022 (RTS), the UK’s latest flagship show for retail technology. On Tuesday 26th – Wednesday 27th, SML will be joining the world’s most innovative solution providers and retailers from across Europe.

The retail landscape has changed drastically over the past two years. RTS will unite some of the most innovative suppliers and vendors across the retail landscape while also delivering a highly targeted and insightful conference program.

In addition to exhibiting at the event, SML’s CTO and Senior Vice President of RFID Solutions, Dean Frew, will be leading a 30 minute panel discussion at 10:50am on April 27th, explaining why the retail industry is seeing such a sudden adoption of item-level RFID technology within the supply chain. Dean will be joined by high-level executives from ASDA, H&M, and Stadium, who will be sharing their RFID journeys, unique pain points before adopting the technology, and ROIs.

Customer expectations have changed over the past two years, requiring convenient shopping experiences and high-quality customer service. SML’s research, ‘State of Retail Insight Report: Helping Customers Prosper Through Technology, found that 43% of retailers believe enhanced stock level visibility will help them better serve customers. The report also found that 48% of UK and US retail decision-makers experience that out-of-stock items are the primary challenge for retailers in the current climate.

Now is the time for retailers to adopt item-level RFID technology to alleviate these pain points. RFID technology allows retailers to be more flexible in their offerings, achieve an inventory accuracy of 98% and facilitate models that will enable customers to shop in ways that cater to their individual personalized needs.
