With the full deployment of Item-Level RFID technology across most of the retail stores by late 2021 – SML’s Clarity® software suite, RFID hardware, and RFID tag and labels – Sweden’s sports retail chain Stadium was able to count its stock of 30,000 items per store once a week instead of once a year, as was done previously, and increase its inventory accuracy from 70 percent to 99 percent, representing a dramatic increase in sales.
The next step is to apply this proven Item-level RFID technology from SML to Stadium’s large Norrköping warehouse and its distribution center, where large tunnels equipped with RFID readers will soon be able to scan incoming shipments and deliveries of products from China and other suppliers to track and audit their delivery accuracy.
